My Story

Hi I'm Stephanie, or Steph. I am a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and  Certified Holistic Coach (PCC). I am constantly seeking to learn and grow to find new ways to connect with my authentic self and live a life of joy. I am also a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor, Pilates Instructor, Intuitive Nutrition Coach, Wellness Coach, and Aryuveda and meditation enthusiast.

I spent over 20 years working in client service and  human resources both in private and public sector. 7 of those years were spent in senior level roles setting strategic direction and support for both executive and senior leaders for effective human resources management. My clients have been diverse from educators, to first responders, to Tourism, as well as heritage, and executive business functions.

While I loved my teams and the people I supported, I made the decision to move into coaching and consulting fulltime to further my interests and goals to help people with their journeys and empower them in the achievement of their goals. Having worked in high stress, high demand environments, I know how difficult it can be to find balance with all of your interests, support your people (both personal and professional), and align your decisions and actions with your values each and every day.

I began my own journey of balance as a teenager where I started to explore and educate myself on the food that nourishes my body and the effects on my mind and wellbeing. This starting point led me in many different areas of learning, but everything always pointed back to my relationship with myself and my trust in my intuition. At times, I struggled with resiliency through my work, taking on too much, not creating boundaries, and harming my body and mind through unaddressed stress and bottled emotions. My anxiety became a daily, and often nightly, battle, where I questioned every action I took, word I spoke, and decision I made. I held myself to an impossible and unachievable standard while giving grace to everyone around me. My empathy was afforded to everyone but myself. When I was out of balance so was my team. My stress impacted their stress and  at times caused friction and conflict. I finally decided to put myself first and started to peel back the limiting beliefs and negative talk, to rebuild trust in myself and my relationship with self. As I began to look inwards, my external environment and my team shifted as well. We grew stronger together and were more effective as a whole. I learned the value of human-centered approaches to management and how to integrate my authentic self in my leadership.

Today I live a life of joy and have learned what it really means to be whole. I have come to accept the struggles I experience as a part of my learning and integrate these teachings into my work. This has been a beautiful, challenging, and long journey, and I continue to learn each and every day. Along the way I have grown as an expert in Human Resources Management, leadership, and wellness, and have picked up many tools that I integrated in to my consulting and coaching practice to empower others to experience their own joy.
